As per the latest statistics, the reported cases of syphilis involving women in Houston, Texas, have surged by a staggering 128%, from 295 in 2019 to 674 in 2022. This alarming rise in the incidence of syphilis highlights the need for prompt action to address the underlying causes and implement effective preventive measures.

Syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection (STI), has been a cause of concern for public health officials in recent years. The number of reported cases has been on the rise, with some areas experiencing a crisis. Considering this, the Houston Health Department has issued a notification to raise awareness about the dangers of this infection.

Syphilis has become a grave health concern, especially in recent times. During the same time frame, the number of new infections due to syphilis surged by a staggering 57%, from 1,845 to 2,905.
